Make in India R&D
FTS pioneered import substitution with India's first indigenously designed Centrifugal Casting Machine for DI pipe manufacturing. Engineers here get to design, prototype, and commission equipment that replaces imported technology — not just specify someone else's.

Mechanical, Utility & Piping Engineers
Bulk material handling systems, crushing/screening/conveying, wagon tipplers, silos & bunkers, piping layout, stress & CFD analysis, 3D modelling in SolidWorks and Inventor.
Civil & Structural Engineers
General arrangement drawings, load assessment, structural modelling, component design, and 3D fabrication drawings using STAAD.Pro and Tekla for stockpiles, junction houses, and process buildings.
Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation Engineers
Switchyard engineering, cable and earthing design, P&ID preparation, instrument hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, and automation logic for substations up to EHV class.
Project Management Professionals
Feasibility studies, PMC, supervision of civil & structural construction and erection/commissioning, plant performance checks, and vendor development across multidisciplinary teams.
Bulk Materials Handling (BMHS) Engineers
Conveyor system design, power/drive/pulley/belt sizing, FEM optimisation, stacker-reclaimer and wagon tippler engineering, stockyard management, and port-handling systems.
Equipment Design & R&D Engineers
Development, design, and manufacturing of special equipment — casting machines, hot metal transfer ladles, vibratory chargers, and poker systems — under our Make in India programme.
Process & Plant Engineers
Process flow diagrams and detail engineering for steel making, iron making, cement, chemical process, pollution control (including FGD), and water & effluent treatment plants.
Site & Construction Supervision Engineers
On-site oversight of civil & structural construction, erection and commissioning, cold testing, hot trials, and performance verification at client sites across India and abroad.
